Purple Air review
Purple Air monitor has been very helpful to track monitor local air quality concerns for forest fire smoke, etc.
I am using my PurpleAir monitor in conjunction with Paku app which opens up the data to alerts, widgets and additional info profiling.
This builds on the excellent info on the Purple air map and detailed graphs. The device was easy to setup and to use. I recommend the Paku app to augment the basic provided functionality.

We gifted this Purpleair
Recipient using it to monitor indoor air and manage opening windows and doors in an often smoky environment. That’s a good thing.

Color distinction.
Will the indoor monitor change color if very poor humidity only.
My AirThings indoor shows good AQI with poor humidity. My purpleair indoor monitor is red despite good outdoor AQI.
Hi Romel,
The PurpleAir Touch will only change colors according to the US EPA PM2.5 AQI. No other type of data, including humidity, will affect the sensor's lights. If the device continues to report poor air quality when you think it is not, we would be happy to help you troubleshoot. To start troubleshooting, please send an email to contact@purpleair.com.
