MicroSD Card (Formatted)

This is a MicroSD card for use in any PurpleAir sensor with an OpenLog logger, such as the PA-II-SD, the PA-II-FLEX and PA-II-Zen. It comes pre-formatted, ready to use with the OpenLog config file so if the logger is mis-configured, inserting this card and powering on the sensor will reset the logger settings to be correct for the sensor to write data to it.

This SD card provides plenty of storage to last for well over two years of logging, but we do not suggest you leave the sensor for two years and hope to have collected all the data! Check from time to time that the sensor is logging data as expected. You will also want to make sure the real-time clock is working (log files will contain an accurate time stamp), and connect the sensor to WiFi if the clock needs to be synched.

Finally, when logging correctly, after starting up, the blue LED next to the SD card slot will flicker every two minutes or so. Three flashes indicates the card has not been recognized. Ensure the SD card is properly inserted and re-power the sensor. If there is constant flickering, try re-powering the sensor and if the flickering persists, the logger may not be configured correctly.
