This MicroSD card is compatible with PurpleAir monitors that support local data storage, including the Classic-SD, Flex, and Zen models. With ample storage capacity, this card can hold over two years' worth of air quality data under normal usage. For best results, we recommend periodically checking to ensure data is being recorded properly.
Using SD data storage enables offline data collection. SD logs are not uploaded to the cloud by the PurpleAir sensor. If the sensor is connected to WiFi with an SD card present, data will be logged to the SD card and sent to the cloud.
Couldn’t find any instructions or pictures that showed were to install it or even why i needed it?

MicroSD cards can be used with PurpleAir sensors to collect data without a WiFi connection. If the sensor does have a WiFi connection, they are not needed. If you have further questions, please email contact@purpleair.com.
