This IP68-rated power supply provides protection from the elements in an outdoor setting.
Featuring a 3A potted micro USB (5V) connection, it is perfect for powering your Flex, Zen, and Classic Plus monitor outside. The power supply reaches 17 feet and various plug types are available for different regions.
I can see the power usage on my UPS that this plugs into. I guess I should re-state that, I can't see any power usage. It doesn't use enough power for my UPS to measure it. I've seen people complain that it's over powered. IMO, that makes it more durable. What's going to fail faster? a 5V 1A power supply supplying 1A? Or, a 5V 3A power supply supplying 1A? (obviously the PSU being used at 100% capacity will fail faster). I don't think the sensor even uses 1A, but my point still stands. If it's efficient at low loads, then it being over powered only means it will last longer.

Works great. Long enough to reach outlet without extension cords.

I had to get creative having the PurpleAir under the eve of my roof.

So far it seems to be working. The real test will be in the winter. The transformer box was a bit awkward to mount, but we figured it out. I think it will work
