Using convection, air moves gently through the sensor so it is absolutely silent. The multi-colored led lights illuminate with the color of the AQI providing immediate and at a glance particulate (PM2.5) air quality readings.
Powered by USB, this simple device has no WiFi or Bluetooth which ensures plug and play simplicity with no additional setup required.

It's adorable! I love it!
I've been wanting purple air to invent this for so long and it's finally here! yes please! it was so easy to get going -- just plug n play. I have to travel for work all the time, staying in motels, and I didn't love how I couldn't test the air quality when i wasn't at home (since my purple air touch device can't easily be taken to a hotel). Now I can test the hotel air! When I'm not traveling, we keep it in the kitchen so my roommates know not to pollute up the place. i'm so happy about this thing! thank you for inventing it! (also looking forward to using it in my car)

It's okay but I was expecting more.
I was hoping for a digital numerical display instead of just the Purple Air color scheme. Some of the color transitions are hard to interpret, but I'm getting better at it. Also, a small battery would have been nice, even as an option, but I was able to find an inexpensive one on Amazon. It makes it an anytime, anywhere system with a battery.

Almost there
I like its mobility. Add battery and an small screen and it would be perfect.
