The PurpleAir Flex is our hybrid monitor, featuring components of the Zen in the housing of the Classic.

As an outdoor sensor, it’s perfect for residential, commercial, or industrial users looking to collect real-time PM2.5 data. Connect it to WiFi to view that data on the interactive map, accessible by any smart device. An LED displays AQI information at a glance, and a modular design provides easy access to internals.

This sensor contains an SD logger for offline data collection but does not come with a microSD card.

Great to have this information

This is my second one. The first one had a sensor die. I hope the sensors will be easier to replace on this one, plus I will redouble my efforts to keep spiders from setting up shop in there. Support was very helpful and remotely disabled the bad sensor.

I use Paku which displays temp and humidity as well as the air quality. I’m in wildfire country, plus have a neighbor who burns questionable stuff, and occasionally we get an inversion. It’s comforting to quantify what’s going on.

Needs PoE option

The device is literally "set and forget". Easy to set up. There is a documented/supported API so people can write their own web page custom views of the data available. I wish it could be powered witg PoE (PoE+ or PoE++ if necessary)

Purple Air

Could be great. However when you place your order, know that you also need to order a SIM card and cord.
Haven’t been able to use ours yet

Hi Gail,

We apologize that this information hadn't been communicated properly. For others reading, PurpleAir devices do not come with power supplies by default and do require a separate purchase. In regard to SD cards, the PurpleAir Classic-SD does come with an SD card, but no other SD capable model (the Flex or Zen) does. Although, SD cards are not required for function and are only needed if you want to record data to an SD card.

Traveling to get my sensor

Hi, I can't provide much of a review because I'm traveling to get it. I'll let you know more later.
